The Nationwide Trophy Recycling Program, a non-profit in Madison, Wisconsin has been the only organization to consistently operate a trophy recycling program in the United States. Instead of throwing away your trophies in the landfill, we will recycle your trophies and donate rebuilt trophies to non-profits nationwide. Any 501(c)(3) can apply.
What makes it different than just recycling the content, is we help you pay it forward by rebuilding new trophies (out of your recycled parts) and donating them to 501(c)(3) non-profits nationwide. Click here to learn more about the program and apply for free trophies.
When you pay for your recycling fee, you will be emailed an invoice with your ticket number on it.
Write that ticket number on your box(es). No more than 25 trophies per box, per ticket.
You may use more than one box to ship your trophies to us, but you must put your ticket number on all of your boxes. Again, only 25 trophies per ticket, no matter how many boxes. Each box can weigh no more than 50 lbs.
We understand there are many of you who have hundreds of trophies. If you have more than 25 trophies, you can purchase another recycling ticket for additional trophies. If you purchase multiple tickets, you will be sent one number to put on all your boxes.
We can no longer take over sized boxes with more than 25 trophies. And will not accept any pallet sized deliveries. Please do not drop off open containers, that means no buckets with the trophies sticking out. We cannot stack those and have no room. If you drop them off, they will be refused.
If you are dropping off at the UPS Store in Market Square, you must leave the boxes or containers with the trophies and have your ticket number written on the boxes. You need to pay online to get your ticket number. We will no longer take payment when you drop off. If you arrive without a ticket number, we will ask you to use your phone to pay online and get a number.
Please check our list of items we do not take or cannot recycle, so that you don't waste any money on shipping. These rules are in place to ensure no trophies arrive broken, are unrecyclable or in boxes too heavy to lift.
All sales are final. If you purchase a recycling ticket we cannot refund your purchase. As once a ticket number is released it cannot be refunded.

How to Recycle Your Trophies
1. Read what we accept and what we can't take (below).
2. Count the trophies you need recycled. You can recycle 25 trophies per ticket.
3. Click on this link above to purchase a recycling ticket.
4. After you pay, you'll get an invoice with a ticket number. Put that ticket # on your boxes.
5. The invoice will say "free shipping" so our shopping cart software doesn't charge you shipping. If you choose to ship the trophies to us, it's at your own expense.
6. Wrap your trophies in bubble wrap or paper and ship to us or drop off, in your boxes.
7. All sales are final, so please do not pay for recycling and then email us that you want your money back.

Frequently Asked Questions
~Do you know of a recycling program in our area?
No. We are the only ongoing recycling program that "pays it forward" in the US. There are other stores that will take your trophies, but we don't know about a program like ours in your area.
~Do you pay for shipping?
No, we don't pay for shipping, but you can drop off for FREE Monday through Friday at the UPS Store in Market Square (6666 Odana Rd. Madison, WI 53719).
~Do we recycle Medals?
Yes, we re-use medals by donating them to non-profits and metal recycling.
~Do we accept Plaques for recycling?
WE DO NOT ACCEPT WOODEN OR OTHER PLAQUES.
~Is there a reduced rate for taking apart your trophies yourself?
No, we do not have a reduced rate for those who take their trophies apart.
~Do we have to pay to recycle Medals or Awards other than Trophies?
No, you don't have to pay, we recycle medals for FREE, as they don't have to be broken down. If you are sending only non-trophies, write on the outside of your box what you are sending. Please do not send any etched crystal, glass, acrylic or other awards as they can't be re-used or un-engraved.
~Where do I find the ticket # to put on our boxes?
The ticket number is the invoice number we sent to you via email. That’s the number you put on all your boxes. If that number is not on the box, it might be returned.
~Why do we pay for recycling?
It takes labor to take apart and recycle the trophies. We then use those parts to remake new trophies for 501c3 non-profits across the country and for making new recycled trophies. If you don't care if the trophies are reused and given to charities, you can donate your trophies to Goodwill or St. Vincent DePaul. They will sell your trophies.
PLEASE READ BEFORE RECYCLING:
What: Donate your GENTLY used Trophies, Awards, and Medals to be Recycled, Reused and Re-gifted to non-profits nationwide. For items that are not reusable, we will recycle the parts the best we can.
If your trophies are in bad shape, please do not send them to us, this includes; broken or damaged figures or pieces, discolored bases, rusted parts or water damage. If they are covered in dirt, years of dust and grime, we will not recycle them.
DO NOT SEND:
~Glass or acrylic awards (we cannot take the engraving or etching off).
~Wood plaques.
~Trophies with yellowed plastic bases, moldy, or water damaged.
~Frames, pictures, keepsakes, or lapel pins.
~Broken trophy parts.
If your trophies are in bad shape and can't be re-used for parts, they may be thrown away, so be sure to look over the list of what we do and don't accept before sending them to us.
If you would like to keep the engraved plates, remove them before dropping them off or shipping your trophies.
If you are shipping your trophies, please be sure to pack them with care (bubble wrap or paper) to ensure that the trophies can be reused.
If you'd like to drop off your trophies at our store, they MUST be packed in boxes/bags/containers that you do not want returned, we have limited boxes, space, so please plan ahead. No oversized boxes, no open boxes, 25 trophies or less per box, max.
